The World Kabaddi Awards is back. It is time for you to nominate the best kabaddi players, officials and organisations around the globe.
The awards will be finalised in time for the World Kabaddi Day on March 24, 2025.
Awards are divided into two categories: International Level and National Level.
For the International Level the categories are for
1. Lifetime Achievement Award
2. National Federation of the Year and
3. International Administrator of the Year.
There will be an additional award category – President’s Merit Award , which will be decided by the World Kabaddi President. All other categories will be based on nominations from the kabaddi fraternity.
The Lifetime Achievement Award will be awarded to a person, who had contributed immensely to the development of the sport internationally, and who has retired from the sports. The previous winner of this award was the late A.K. Saha of India.
For the National Level that would be open for each individual country, the categories are:
1. National Administrator of the Year
2. National Level Association of the Year
3. National Male Player of the Year
4. National Female Player of the Year
5. National Coach of The Year
6. National Technical Official of the Year and
7. National Volunteer of the Year.
Nominations are open from now until March 20, 2024. If time permits the International Awards would be presented during the Kabaddi World Cup in UK.
E-Certificates will be issued to the winners from each country to the respective National Kabaddi Federations. The national federations can create their own awards ceremony to fete the winners.
