This is the 573rd entry of Baseball’s Best (and Worst). It’s also the last.

I launched this newsletter on Labor Day 2020, near the end of that bizarrely truncated Covid season. I haven’t missed a week since then, usually posting two stories, but sometimes as many as five. Most of those entries were powered by statistics, so it’s only fitting to present my final average: 2.16 stories per week.

I’ve enjoyed the 61-month run of BB(&W) — no question about that — yet I am equally intrigued by other projects in other fields. Hence my (reluctant) decision to bring this particular endeavor to a close.
