Amazon Prime has hired Chris Haynes and Marcus Thompson ahead of the start of their media rights deal with the NBA.
Haynes will be a league insider for Amazon, while Thompson will report feature stories.
Haynes was a free agent this past year after previously working for ESPN, Yahoo and Bleacher Report. Thompson will remain with The Athletic while also covering the NBA for Amazon.
Amazon also recently hired Kyle Lowry, Rudy Gay and Jim Jackson.
