Warriors Second Round Pick Alex Toohey Agree To Two Way Contract

The Golden State Warriors and Alex Toohey have agreed to a two-way contract. Toohey was drafted by the Phoenix Suns with the 52nd pick at the 2025 NBA Draft. The Warriors acquired Toohey’s draft rights in a trade that sent Koby Brea’s draft rights to the Suns.

A native of Australia, Toohey has played for the Sydney Kings of the NBL for the last two seasons. Last season, the 6-foot-8 forward averaged 11.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game.

Toohey will fill one of the Warriors three two-way spots. Jackson Rowe is currently set to return on a two-way deal. Fellow Australian Taran Armstrong is a restricted free agent with a two-way qualifying offer.

Agreeing to a two-way contract with Toohey was the latest in a flurry of moves by the Warriors on Sunday. Golden State also received commitments from Al Horford, De’Anthony Melton and Gary Payton II. 2025 second-round pick Will Richard also agreed to a four-year deal with the Warriors.
