Round 2 was suspended for darkness with a number of players still on the course on Friday — some with as many as seven holes remaining. Those who did not finish will return early on Saturday morning at 8 a.m. local time to finish their rounds before the cut is officially made and the third round begins.
Notable players in the mix include Max Homa, who is four shots back after firing rounds of 70-66, and defending champion Matt McCarty, who launched himself back into contention with a second-round 65 on Saturday that included a front-nine score of 28. At eight under par overall, McCarty is two shots off the lead at the tournament’s halfway point.
