Former Royal Challengers Bengaluru wicketkeeper Shreevats Goswami has praised Virat Kohli for silencing questions around his form and ability to play till the 2027 World Cup. He stated that Virat’s recent increase in runs scored is a reminder of his prowess.

Virat faced intense scrutiny after a tough Australia tour. However, he produced a dominating response in domestic cricket. Delivering for Delhi in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, he gave a masterclass hundred against Andhra Pradesh.
He scored 131 off just 101 balls and laid the foundation of the run chase. He found solid support from Nitish Rana and Priyansh Arya, as Delhi never allowed the asking rate to climb.

Coming to the match, Andhra Pradesh put up a strong total of 298 for eight, thanks mainly to a strong century by Ricky Bhui. However, Delhi’s chase made that score look less threatening, as Kohli controlled the game from start to finish.
Delhi’s bowlers also helped set up the win, with Simarjeet Singh picking up five wickets on a good batting pitch. With the bat, Kohli looked confident right away, playing a classy straight drive early in his innings to show his intent.
