The Colorado Avalanche Would Like Nazem Kadri But Trocheck Maybe?
The Fourth Period: The Colorado Avalanche know what they had with Nazem Kadri and might be able to acquire him but the intrigue of trading for Vincent Trocheck is at least there.
Now, the rationale is if Colorado cannot land Kadri that Trocheck would be a nice Plan B. Trocheck has piled up 39 points in 46 games this season for the New York Rangers. At press time, the forward had six points in his last five contests.
The Avalanche would save $1.375 million a year for the next three years for Trocheck compared to Kadri. Trocheck is also almost three years younger than the Calgary pivot.

The talk centers that Trocheck wants to stay East. Simply, Colorado will keep poking, but expect them to prioritize Kadri here.

Tyler Kuehl of the Daily Faceoff: The New York Rangers feel the heat to make some moves. While some players are just not desired, Vincent Trocheck most definitely is. Again, his preference is East. Currently, the forward has a 12-team no-trade list. The forward has some definite say here as to where he might go.
Teams like Carolina, Detroit, and Boston still could be well in the mix. Are there other teams that might poke in and see what the landscape looks like? That is a given, too. Right now, it is abundantly clear that the Rangers are not getting the packages they would like to see. Minnesota has an offer, for example, but New York does not seem to be too impressed.
With a little less than 48 hours to go in the trade deadline, expect things to heat up and cool down several times between now and Friday afternoon.
