Men’s Quarterfinals Set as Race for Semifinal Spots Intensifies at Raja Ampat Open

RAJA AMPAT, Indonesia — The men’s competition at the AVC Beach Tour Raja Ampat Open 2026 enters a decisive stage on April 8, as the quarterfinals bring together eight of the tournament’s top-performing teams in a high-stakes battle for semifinal spots.

Following competitive pool play and elimination rounds, teams from across Asia and Oceania have advanced, setting up a diverse and tightly contested quarterfinal lineup.

Host nation Indonesia will look to capitalize on home support with Bintang/Sofyan, who face China’s LI Wei/DU Hongjun in one of the day’s featured matchups. Japan’s Tatsumi/Furuta take on Australia’s Howat/Ryan, while another Australian pair, Hood/Hodges, meet New Zealand’s Smith/Tyler.

Rounding out the quarterfinal clashes, Kazakhstan’s Bogatu/Gurin go up against Thailand’s K. Dunwinit/N. Banlue in what promises to be an evenly matched contest.

With semifinal berths on the line, the intensity is expected to rise as teams push closer to the podium in one of the most scenic stops of the AVC Beach Tour.

Fans can watch the matches live via the official AVC YouTube channel, bringing the action from Raja Ampat to audiences worldwide.

The AVC Beach Tour Raja Ampat Open continues through April 9, with the finals set to determine the champions.
