Manchester City’s win over Arsenal on Sunday might have felt a bit better for Gianluigi Donnarumma than for his teammates after his gift for Arsenal’s equalizer ultimately counted for naught.
The goalkeeper took too long in possession seconds after Rayan Cherki opened the scoring for Manchester City, giving Kai Havertz the opportunity to pinch his pocket for a goal.

Few celebrated more enthusiastically than Donnarumma when Erling Haaland restored City’s lead during the second half. The move that led to the goal was instigated by Donnarumma’s quick throw to Nico O’Reilly.
Haaland’s strike proved to be the winner in a huge 2-1 victory for City. Donnarumma celebrated with some of the home fans after the final whistle.
