Miami hosts the fourth round of the 2026 season, with the teams and drivers keen to get back down to business after a spring break where plenty of work was completed on the cars.
Last time out, Kimi Antonelli won for Mercedes at Suzuka, beating Oscar Piastri and Charles Leclerc as he took the lead of the Championship to boot. But now attention turns to Miami, which hosts a Sprint weekend and could see the pecking order begin to shift.

What time is the 2026 Miami Grand Prix?
Free Practice 1 will start proceedings on Friday, May 1 at 1200 local time, and has been extended to 90 minutes in length. Sprint Qualifying will follow at 1630.
The Sprint takes place at 1200 on Saturday, May 2, ahead of Qualifying at 1600 before the Grand Prix itself gets underway at 1600 on Sunday, May 3.

Where is the 2026 Miami Grand Prix taking place?
The Miami Grand Prix will be held at the Miami International Autodrome, an iconic street circuit that is situated in the Hard Rock Stadium complex in Miami Gardens and has been on the calendar since 2022.
Oscar Piastri won here last season, in a thrilling battle that saw him beat his team mate Lando Norris and George Russell. But it was youngster Kimi Antonelli who shone earlier in the weekend, taking his first pole of any kind in Sprint Qualifying for Mercedes.
So far, Max Verstappen has won this race twice, with Piastri and Norris also having one victory apiece.
What is the weather forecast in Miami?
Conditions currently look warm and sunny in Miami throughout the weekend, with temperatures potentially in the low thirties.
As such, it could be a long and hot race for the drivers on Sunday, with a high of 35 Degrees Celsius.
When will F2 race in Miami?
F2 is set to race in North America for the first time, with Miami hosting the second round of the season.
Free Practice on Friday, May 1, takes place at 0930 local time and lasts 45 minutes, before Qualifying at 1430.
The Sprint Race is on Saturday, May 2, at 1000 followed by the Feature Race on Sunday, May 03 at 1230.
