Manchester United are looking to raid their rivals in order to strengthen their academy ranks this summer.
Earlier this week, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming that United are eyeing a move for Manchester City’s highly rated midfielder David Eze.
The report stated that the Red Devils are keeping a close eye on Eze’s future at City and are ready to offer him an opportunity to make the switch to Old Trafford.
Manchester United in talks with David Eze
David Eze, who is 16 years old, will not be eligible to sign a professional contract with Manchester City until he turns 17 next year. Now, a report suggests that a decision has already been made regarding his future at the club.
According to The Secret Scout, a reputable source for youth football and transfer news, Eze is set to leave this summer.
The Secret Scout posted on X that “initial conversations have begun” between the England U16 international and Manchester United.

The defensive midfielder, who is capable of dictating play from deep as well as venturing forward with the ball, also holds an Irish passport.
“A club away from England is also a possibility,” TSS adds. However, United appear to be in the driving seat, having already made contact with the young midfielder’s camp.

Recently, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming that United are also in the race to sign striker Vincent Joseph from Liverpool.
The teenage forward looks set to leave the Merseyside outfit, having been left out of their announcement of scholars.
United, Bayern Munich, and Borussia Dortmund are also thought to be interested after sending scouts on multiple occasions for Joseph.
The Mancunians “hold strong interest” in the striker, who has impressed with his physicality and link-up ability.
