Chawlinska Surging, Kostyuk Career-High – Tennis Now

Jumping 93 ranking spots from a single tournament does not happen very often, but Poland’s Maja Chwalinska accomplished the feat this week, soaring to No. 21 in Monday’s post-Roland-Garros rankings.

The 24-year-old qualifier, who stormed all the way to the women’s singles final in Paris, had never previously been ranked higher than No. 113.

Chwalinska isn’t the only player on the rise after Roland-Garros.

Marta Kostyuk, who reached the semifinals in Paris, climbs three spots to a career-high No. 12, while fellow Ukrainian Oleksandra Oliynykova also reaches a career-best ranking at No. 51.

France’s Diane Parry jumps 37 spots to No. 55 after reaching the round of 16 at Roland-Garros for the first time, leaving her just seven places shy of her career-high ranking.

Two-time junior Grand Slam champion Alina Korneeva cracked the Top 100 for the first time after advancing to the second round from qualifying. The 18-year-old now sits at No. 96 and is one of three players aged 18 or younger inside the WTA Top 100, alongside No. 19 Iva Jovic and No. 86 Lilli Tagger.

Diana Shnaider and Anna Kalinskaya both returned to the Top 20 after strong performances in Paris.

Shnaider earned the first victory of her career over a reigning World No. 1 after rallying from a set and a double-break down to upset Aryna Sabalenka in the quarterfinals. The 22-year-old jumps from No. 23 to No. 16.

Kalinskaya reached her second Grand Slam quarterfinal — and first at Roland-Garros — to return to the Top 20 for the first time since February 2025, rising from No. 24 to No. 20.

Other notable risers:

Maria Sakkari: +12 to No. 37
Magda Linette: +13 to No. 60
Peyton Stearns: +16 to No. 62
Camila Osorio: +18 to No. 68
