Dolphins sign UFL offensive lineman

On Monday, the Miami Dolphins parted ways with two offensive linemen — Kion Smith and Carter Warren. On Wednesday, the team added a new name to their offensive line room — and it’s a doozy.

Gottlieb Ayedze was signed by the Dolphins earlier today. And no, I do not know how to pronounce that name.

Ayedze originally signed with the Philadelphia Eagles after going undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft. He didn’t stick in Philadelphia, but quickly signed with the Las Vegas Raiders — spending the 2024 season on the team’s practice squad. The 6’4”, 309 lb tackle spent the earlier portion of this year (2026) as a member of the Houston Gamblers in the United Football League after being traded to Houston from the DC Defenders in March.

Born in the United States, Ayedze would move with his family to Togo when he was just 5 years old. They wouldn’t return to the U.S. until Ayedze was 15.

We will continue to keep you updated on all things Miami Dolphins as the team continues to churn the bottom of their roster.
