Ten elite players compete in the Super Chess Classic Romania 2026—nine Grand Chess Tour regulars are joined by Romanian wildcard GM Bogdan-Daniel Deac. The Super Chess Classic Romania 2026 features a $475,000 prize fund, with $350,000 being distributed based on standings and a bonus $125,000 distributed equally for each game win. Full-tour players also earn Grand Chess Tour points that count toward qualification for the GCT Finals in Saint Louis.
