IPL 2026: KKR vs SRH Preview:
The Orange Army’s top 4 are the most dangerous in world cricket, with the likes of Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Heinrich Klaasen. On paper, on their day, they can destroy even the best of bowling attacks in IPL. However, their bowling has been the point of concern with Pat Cummins missing out, and they have an inexperienced attack.
KKR’s bowling has also been on the weaker side, with Harshit Rana and Akash Deep ruled out, and Matheesha Pathirana yet to join the squad, as he has not been provided NOC from Sri Lanka Cricket. Their death bowling has been a problem, and also the spin duo of Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy are out of form.
As per reports from RevSportz, the pitch that will be used for this KKR vs SRH game is the same pitch that was used in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup semi-final between South Africa and New Zealand, where Finn Allen scored a 33-ball 100. Allen will now be on the Purple and Gold side and will look to score as many runs as possible.
Eden Gardens has been the pitch where, in recent times, the bowlers have not got much support from the wicket. The temperature in Kolkata is hot and humid, and there is a chance of dew in the second innings, so the toss will be an important factor as the team winning the toss would like to bowl first, keeping the dew in mind.

Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and elected to field first. After winning the toss, Ajinkya Rahane said, “We don’t generally see this much of grass. There’s been some rain around. Generally there’s dew but this wicket looks really good and should remain good for 40 overs. Dew comes around 8pm. [On Cameron Green] He’s doing all the things he needs to do. All I can say is you’ll see him bowling really soon.”
