Since the start of the 2020s, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz have risen to become the premier forces in men’s tennis.
Last September in New York, Sinner and Alcaraz became the first pair to ever contest three Grand Slam finals in the same year in Open Era history.
On Sunday November 16th in Turin, Sinner won the pair’s most recent meeting, defeating Alcaraz 7-6(4), 7-5 to successfully defend his ATP Finals title.
We thought they’d meet at the Australian Open in 2026. Then Indian Wells. Then Miami. Nothing. But once again the pair are ready to square off – this time on the red clay of Monte-Carlo.
Episode 17 of this brilliant rivalry finally happened, with Sinner taking a 7-6(5), 6-3 victory to win his fourth consecutive Masters 1000 title and reclain the No.1 ranking.
Hhere’s a recap of all of their meetings since their first head-to-head matchup, in Paris in 2021.
