Odyssey rolls out Damascus Milled putter range – Golf News

Odyssey has raised the bar in the premium putter market with the launch of its striking new Damascus Milled putter range — a limited-edition collection that blends craftsmanship, innovation and unmistakable visual appeal.

Positioned at the very top end of the brand’s current line-up, the Damascus Milled family comprises six models, offering a mix of both mallet and blade designs to suit a variety of strokes and preferences. Golfers can choose from four mallet options — Seven DB, Seven CH, Rossie S and Jailbird Mini — alongside two classic blade profiles, the One Wide and Two.

At the heart of the range is the standout Damascus steel insert. Created through a complex process of layering, forging and folding multiple steel alloys, each insert produces a distinctive pattern, ensuring no two putters look exactly alike. Beyond aesthetics, the material delivers a firmer, more responsive feel — a direct response to feedback from tour players seeking a more audible and solid strike.

The insert of each Damascus putter features a slightly different look although performance, sound and feel is consistent across the range

Performance has not been overlooked. The inserts incorporate AI-designed contours on the rear surface, engineered to promote consistent ball speeds across the face, helping golfers maintain distance control even on off-centre hits. Each head is fully precision milled from premium stainless steel, reinforcing the brand’s focus on exacting detail and premium build quality.

The Seven DB model leads the launch, offering a face-balanced setup with a double-bend shaft and three-quarter offset — a configuration typically favoured by players with a straighter putting stroke. Complementing the head design is a refined blasted silver finish, giving the putters a clean, understated look that contrasts with the intricate insert pattern.

A specially developed grip, created in collaboration with Golf Pride, features subtle shaping and defined edges for enhanced feel, while a lightweight steel shaft incorporates a 20g counterbalance weight in the butt end to improve stability and tempo.

Available at retail from May 5, Odyssey Damascus Milled putters have an RRP of £569.
