FIRST LOOK AT STEELERS ROOKIES AT NFLPA PREMIERE

Wrapping up the three-day NFLPA Rookie Premiere in Los Angeles, Day 3 brought out the 42 rookies in attendance in their full uniforms for the first time.

Steelers rookies in second-round WR Germie Bernard and third-round QB Drew Allar donned the Black and Gold gameday jerseys for the first time in Los Angeles and looked pretty darn good, too.

Allar is wearing No. 16 after playing the last few years at Penn State wearing No. 15, while Bernard is wearing No. 17 after rocking the No. 5 at Alabama. The last Steelers QB to wear No. 16 was Charlie Batch from 2003-2012. As for No. 17, the last Steelers wide receiver to wear the number was Anthony Miller in 2021. Prior to Miller, Deon Cain and Eli Rogers rocked the No. 17 after Mike Wallace wore the number from 2009-12.

JALEN HURTS TROLLS STEELERS, AARON RODGERS

The NFL’s schedules were released Thursday, laying out the path forward for teams in the quest for the Super Bowl, and with the schedule release came plenty of schedule videos from teams around the league.

Some were very creative, while others (cough, cough, Steelers) were pretty bland and boring. The Philadelphia Eagles were bland and boring, too, stretching nearly 14 minutes. But in that schedule release video was star quarterback Jalen Hurts trolling the Steelers and Aaron Rodgers.

Sort of.

When the Steelers-Eagles matchup was revealed for Week 11 at 4:25 p.m., Hurts said “who knows?” when asked if Rodgers would be the Steelers’ QB this season.

That’s the big question for the Steelers right now. The franchise continues to wait for a decision from the 42-year-old signal caller. All signs seemingly point towards Rodgers returning and reuniting with Mike McCarthy in his first year in Pittsburgh. But there hasn’t been much movement.

We’ll see what happens.

MIKE TOMLIN’S RETURN TO PITTSBURGH

After resigning following the 30-6 blowout loss to the Houston Texans in the AFC Wild Card, Mike Tomlin will make his return to Pittsburgh in Week 13 of the 2026 season, this time in a new role.

Tomlin, who was hired by NBC Sports to serve on the panel of Football Night In America, replacing Tony Dungy, will fittingly return to Acrisure Stadium in Week 13 as the Steelers host the Texans on Sunday Night Football.

That AFC Wild Card rematch was recently named one of the best primetime games of the season by NFL.com, and it’s going to be heightened with Tomlin set to be back in the building for the first time. What a moment that could create on the North Shore.
