Depot After Dark: Brisker Thinks Grass Is Greener, Allar Talks Rodgers, Keisel Going to Paris

A Steelers Depot daily segment. A quick hit of some Pittsburgh Steelers-related stories that may not require a complete article, but nuggets worth mentioning and passing on to you guys.

Your Depot After Dark for June 9.

BRISKER THINKS GRASS IS GREENER

The Steelers were active this offseason, adding several players. One of their more surprising signings was Jaquan Brisker. While they needed safety help, Brisker seemed out of their price range. He ended up getting a small one-year deal, though. It was slightly surprising, but Brisker seems happy with where he’s at.

Brisker took to Twitter to confirm that he thinks the grass is greener on the other side. While he was productive in his four seasons with the Chicago Bears, it sounds like he’s enjoying his time with the Steelers more. He’s from Pittsburgh, so that makes some sense. Coming home has to be more meaningful to Brisker.

ALLAR TALKS RODGERS

Quarterback has been a problem for the Steelers since Ben Roethlisberger retired following the 2021 season. They’ve signed veterans in recent years, including re-signing Aaron Rodgers this offseason. While he’s set on retiring after this season, he’s still trying to help give the Steelers some options under center after that.

Radio station 93.7 The Fan shared a recent video on Twitter of rookie Drew Allar talking about how helpful Rodgers has been. That’s not too surprising after Rodgers went out of his way to help Will Howard last year. It looks like he’s taking the same approach with Allar. Although the rookie has much to improve, Rodgers is a great source of knowledge.

KEISEL GOING TO PARIS

The Steelers made history last year by playing in the NFL’s first regular-season game in Ireland. They’ll be part of another milestone this year, playing in the league’s first game in Paris, France. While they aren’t the “home” team this time around, it should still be a special occasion.

Former Steelers defensive lineman Brett Keisel will attend the Paris game, too. He recently posted a video on Twitter talking about his plan to make the trip and how he wants to see Steelers fans show out in Paris as well. Hopefully, he gets his wish.
