Who starts where in Silverstone

For the fifth time this season we start a Grand Prix with Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli on pole, this time from the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc, who edged out team mate Lewis Hamilton to make the front row alongside the championship leader.

George Russell could only qualify fourth in the second Mercedes, just ahead of Isack Hadjar who sensationally put his Red Bull two places up on four-time champion team mate Max Verstappen, the pair split by reigning World Champion and last year’s British Grand Prix winner Lando Norris.

The sister McLaren of Oscar Piastri starts eighth, with the Racing Bulls of Arvid Lindblad and Liam Lawson completing the top 10.

Two drivers have grid penalties. Alpine’s Pierre Gasly drops three places to P15 for impeding during Qualifying, while Lance Stroll’s 10-place drop for using additional power unit elements on his Aston Martin has minimal impact, as he only qualified 21st.

The 2026 British Grand Prix starts at 1500 local time. Be sure to join our live coverage from 1400 here.
