DUNKER TO HELP OPEN STORE
The Steelers had a busy offseason this year. That included a load of draft picks, with the team selecting 10 players in total. While they’ve yet to play in an actual game, some of them are already generating some hype. Gennings Dunker is a good example. He’s got a unique look and a tough play style, which has many excited for his future.
Dunker will get to experience his first NFL training camp in a few weeks, but there’s another opportunity for fans to meet him coming up soon. TribWestmoreland posted a story that Dunker will help to open the new Dick’s Sporting Goods at Westmoreland Mall. It opens on August 7th, and Dunker will be there signing autographs.
PITTMAN CAUGHT HUGE FISH
Michael Pittman Jr. was one of the Steelers’ biggest acquisitions this offseason. He finally gives them a solidified No. 2 wide receiver, which they’ve desperately needed for years. However, this is Pittman’s first time changing teams in the NFL, so he’ll have some work to do before the season starts.
Still, Pittman has some free time before training camp starts, and he’s enjoying it. Pittsburgh has seen many receivers cause some drama off the field, but that isn’t Pittman’s style. He loves to fish, and he shared on Instagram that he recently hauled in a massive catch. It’s as big as him. Hopefully, he has some massive catches on the field during the season, too.
HOWARD IN COLORADO
Aaron Rodgers is set to be the Steelers’ starting quarterback this year. However, they still have other questions to sort out in that room, specifically who Rodgers’ backup will be. Will Howard and Mason Rudolph seem poised to battle for that role. While Rudolph has more experience, Howard has many people in his corner.
This upcoming training camp figures to be a big one for Howard, but he’s still enjoying his time until then. He recently posted on Instagram that he’s in Colorado. It looks beautiful, and it’s good that Howard is relaxing now. He’ll have a lot on his plate soon.
