The International Cricket Council (ICC) has imposed an eight-year ban on USA cricketer Bodugum Akhilesh Reddy after an ICC Anti-Corruption Tribunal found him guilty of multiple offences under the ICC Anti-Corruption Code. The charges stem from the Abu Dhabi T10 2025 tournament in the United Arab Emirates, where the ICC acted as the Designated Anti-Corruption Official (DACO) on behalf of the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB).
The suspension has been backdated to November 21, 2025, the date on which Reddy was provisionally suspended pending the outcome of the investigation. The ban will remain in effect until November 2033, ruling him out of all forms of cricket during that period.
ICC hands eight-year ban to Bodugum Akhilesh Reddy
Following an extensive investigation, the ICC Anti-Corruption Tribunal found Reddy guilty of three separate breaches of the Anti-Corruption Code. The first charge related to attempting to fix or improperly influence the result, progress, conduct, or another aspect of matches during the Abu Dhabi T10 2025 tournament. He was also found guilty of attempting to persuade and facilitate another participant to engage in match-fixing activities during the competition.
In addition, the tribunal ruled that Reddy obstructed the anti-corruption investigation by deleting data and messages from his mobile device that could have been relevant to the inquiry. The destruction of potential evidence formed the third breach under the ICC Anti-Corruption Code. According to the ICC, the combination of these offences resulted in an eight-year suspension from all cricket, with the sanction taking effect retrospectively from the date of his provisional suspension.

Reddy becomes second USA international sanctioned this year
Reddy represented the United States in four T20 Internationals, all of which came during April 2025. His ban marks another major anti-corruption case involving a USA international in recent months. Earlier this year, USA batter Aaron Jones was also sanctioned and provisionally suspended after being charged with multiple breaches of the ICC Anti-Corruption Code linked to his participation in Barbados’ Bim10 tournament during the 2023-24 season.
The latest action reinforces the ICC’s continued efforts to safeguard the integrity of the sport by investigating and penalizing corruption-related offences across domestic franchise competitions around the world.
