Things that stood out to me:
Fins front seven is the strength of the team on defense and will be a nightmare for opposing offenses during the season.
Set at WR with plenty of depth, Eskridge, T Washington and Wease Jr all played well. Fins have some tough cut/practice squad decisions to make. Henning did a great job on returns with the exception of a critical fumble.
The poor depth on the OL is a major concern. The group couldn’t open a pin hole for the RB’s and didn’t sustain their blocks for the QBs to throw deep. The season will be derailed if there are multiple injuries to the starters.
The secondary was shaky. This is another area of concern for the Dolphins. This is preseason, what I call backups season. It will get a whole lot tougher facing the better offenses and QBs like Allen, Jackson, etc. which will be far less forgiving than what the secondary has faced thus far in preseason.
TE Tanner Conner should be on the opening day roster over the inconsistent Julian Hill.
Zach Wilson posted some good numbers however he continues to have a tendency to miss on easy throws and holds the ball too long resulting in sacks. OL didn’t do him a lot of favors. He was nearly picked off again in this game. He was lucky he didn’t get picked six against the Bears. It’s been the story of his career thus far, good with plenty of bad to go with it. These consistent mistakes will cost you games during the regular season.
Quinn Ewers was impressive for the rookie compared to last week’s mediocre performance. Needs to be more consistent with his accuracy. All starters on the OL would help.
