WNBA Breaks Single Season Attendance Record


The WNBA announced that it broke its single-season attendance record with two-and-a-half weeks remaining in the season.

2,501,609 fans have attended over 226 games this season, beating the previous record from 2002.

There were also 16 teams in 2002. It took all 256 games that season to reach the attendance number.

The WNBA also expanded the schedule from 40 to 44 games this season.Â
