WNBA Announces 11 Year Media Rights Deal With USA Network

The WNBA and Versant announced an 11-year media rights deal for the USA Network to broadcast league games on Tuesday.

Versant, the media company set to debut next year, will feature NBCUniversal’s cable television networks.

The agreement also includes the USA Network broadcasting a portion of playoff and WNBA Finals games in certain years.

“Partnering with Versant and USA Network marks another significant milestone for the WNBA’s continued growth,” said WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert in a statement. “As demand for women’s basketball continues to rise, partnerships like this expand the visibility and accessibility of our game.”

USA Network will broadcast over 50 games per season, including Wednesday night doubleheaders.

Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.

Earlier on Tuesday, Napheesa Collier criticized WNBA leadership ahead of a possible work stoppage in 2026. Commissioner Cathy Engelbert is expected to step down from the position following the current collective bargaining negotiations.
