EX-STEELERS TE ON REALITY SHOW
Tight end Weslye Saunders entered the NFL in 2011 as an undrafted free agent with the Steelers. He played in all 16 games as a rookie, but he only caught four passes for 29 yards and one touchdown.
While Saunders was with the Steelers to start 2012 as well, they let him go in the middle of the season. He spent a few years with the Indianapolis Colts after that, but he never had a huge impact.
Saunders has been out of football for a while, but he’s not out of the public eye. He’ll be featured on Netflix show Outlast: The Jungle, where 16 players compete for a chance to win a huge cash prize.
It’s a little different from playing football, and WPLG Local 10 on YouTube posted a video interviewing Saunders about the event.
TEAM EVENT CALENDAR
The Steelers’ 2026 season figures to be an exciting one, with Aaron Rodgers declaring that he intends to retire once the year ends. The team also has a new head coach for the first time in 20 years. However, the Steelers also have several other fun events planned for this season.
The Steelers posted their event calendar for 2026 on Twitter. Fans can see all the important dates for the upcoming year.
That includes Ribfest, the Hall of Honor dinner, the Road Warrior Rallies and more. While the season is still a few months away, there’s a lot to look forward to.
STEAGLES ANNIVERSARY
Steelers history before the 1970s is dark. The team didn’t have much success until Chuck Noll came around. There was even a time where the Steelers couldn’t field a team due to World War II, forcing them to combine with the Philadelphia Eagles to become the Steagles.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame shared on Twitter that today is actually the 83rd anniversary of the Steagles forming. They went 5-4-1, which was a slight step back compared to the Steelers’ 1942 season where they went 7-4.
Still, it wasn’t as bad as the 1944 season. The Steelers combined with the Chicago Cardinals that season, going 0-10.
