ROMAN WILSON TRAINING
Steelers training camp is right around the corner, and it will an important time for many players, especially Roman Wilson. The Steelers spent a third-round pick on him in 2024, but Wilson has struggled to catch on in the NFL. While injuries can be blamed for a library-quiet rookie season, he didn’t do much last year, either.
Wilson’s third NFL season could be make or break for him, so he’s doing everything that he can to improve. That includes training during this part of the offseason when many other players are relaxing and enjoying their free time. This is a big season for Wilson, and hopefully, he shows the team something.
DARNELL WASHINGTON BOWLING
Darnell Washington is one of the Steelers’ most interesting players. He’s got unique size and athleticism for a tight end, which makes him fun to watch on gamedays. While Washington is still refining his pass-catching skills, he should continue to be an important part of the Steelers’ offense, as evidenced by the contract extension they gave him this offseason.
And it looks like Washington is a man of many talents. He recently posted on Instagram that he went bowling, and he did pretty well, scoring a 241. Football is Washington’s job, but he’s good at other sports, too. It would be fun to watch a man of Washington’s size bowl such a good game.
STEELERS LEGENDS’ FAMILY FEUD ANSWERS
The Steelers have had plenty of physical players in their franchise’s history. And Hines Ward and Mel Blount are near the top of that list. Ward was a wide receiver, but he played the position with a different level of physicality. Meanwhile, Blount was such a physically dominant cornerback that the NFL had to change the rules because of him. Both of them have charming personalities, though.
That was on display on a recent episode of Celebrity Family Feud. Ward and Blount joined other NFL legends to participate, and they had some fun answers that got a good laugh out of host Steve Harvey. The show shared a snippet of the episode on Twitter, and it looks like it was a good time.
