Restart Your Longest Chess.com Streak
Earlier this year, we officially announced our Streaks feature. This is a fun system that rewards your consistency with playing or learning chess. Every day you play or use one of our most popular learning tools, your streak grows. Stop playing or learning for three days, and you lose your streak.
If you’re currently chasing one of your old streak records, here’s your shot. If you play or learn chess between July 20 and 26, we’ll reactivate your longest-ever streak on Chess.com! From then on, we’ll keep counting your streak normally. This is your chance to catch up and build on your record—and maybe even get to that gorgeous-looking new flame color you’ve been after.
We’ve been tracking streaks since the dawn of our website. Some members are so passionate that their streak is currently longer than 5,860 days—that’s more than 16 years without ever skipping chess for more than two days. Maybe reviving your streak will not get you close to those legends, but you can still start building your own impressive record!
Earn An Exclusive International Chess Day Flair
Aside from breaking your streak record, you’ll also have a chance to earn an exclusive flair! Once you unlock it, it’ll be available on your profile forever. But beware, you can only unlock it by playing or learning during International Chess Day, July 20. Once the day is over, you won’t be able to get the flair anymore, so don’t miss your chance to win it!
To unlock the flair, you have to do any of the activities that would also activate a streak. You can do it by playing rated or unrated games against other players, making a move in a Daily game, or playing a chess variant. You can also unlock it by solving puzzles, taking lessons, or using Game Review.
