Anisimova has had a difficult stretch and perhaps turning to the man who helped guide her to a career year in 2025 that featured two major finals is the perfect tonic.

Anisimova reached the third round at Roland Garros and Wimbledon, but has not been able to reach a final in 2026. Last year, with Vleeshouwers at the helm, she reached five finals and sandwiched her back-to-back Slam finals at Wimbledon and the US Open around titles in Doha and Beijing.
Anisimova, 24, is ranked No.9 in the world as of this week.
