Longtime NBA assistant Roy Rogers joined the Memphis Tigers coaching staff on Wednesday.
Rogers, who spent the past four seasons as an assistant with the Blazers, has also spent time with the Clippers, Chicago, Houston, Washington, Brooklyn, Detroit and Boston.
This will be the first time that Rogers has coached in college.
Memphis coach Penny Hardaway also brought in Josh Townsend as the team’s director of scouting. Townsend was the video coordinator for the Lakers’ G League affiliate for the past two seasons.Â
