Nitish Kumar Reddy batted well for Sunrisers Hyderabad against Lucknow Super Giants. Sunrisers Hyderabad had a poor start at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Mohammed Shami and Prince Yadav removed the top order inside the powerplay.

Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Kumar Reddy rebuilt the innings with a 116-run partnership. This became Sunrisers Hyderabad’s highest partnership for the fifth wicket or lower. It went past the 99-run stand Klaasen shared with Abhinav Manohar last year.

Nitish Kumar Reddy scored 56 runs off 33 balls before M Siddharth dismissed him. Heinrich Klaasen made 62 runs off 41 balls before Avesh Khan took his wicket. Their partnership helped Sunrisers Hyderabad reach 156 runs.

Lucknow Super Giants finished the innings well. Mohammed Shami took two wickets for nine runs. Avesh Khan dismissed Harsh Dubey for a duck, and Prince Yadav removed Shivang Yadav.

Harshal Patel was run out for four runs off the last ball. Aniket Verma remained not out on two runs as Sunrisers Hyderabad finished at 156/9. Avesh Khan and Prince Yadav took two wickets each.

Chasing 157, the Lucknow Super Giants won the match with a strong knock from Rishabh Pant. He scored 68 runs off 50 balls and guided the team home in the final over.

Aiden Markram supported him with 45 runs off 27 balls. Lucknow Super Giants defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad and moved to seventh place with two points.
