Depot After Dark: Former Steelers Host Youth Camp, SNR Names All-Time Top 10, ESPN’s 2027 Draft Rankings

A Steelers Depot daily segment. A quick hit of some Pittsburgh Steelers-related stories that may not require a complete article but nuggets worth mentioning and passing on to you guys.

Your Depot After Dark for June 13.

FORMER STEELERS HOST YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP

When you suit up for the Pittsburgh Steelers, you become a Steeler for life, and are ingrained in the Steel City forever. Many players take that to heart and aim to give back after their playing careers.

For former linebackers Vince Williams, Arthur Moats and Terrance Garvin, giving back centers on youth football in the city.

The three former linebackers helped host the latest Steelers Youth Football camp on Friday and Saturday at the new Highlands Sports Complex.

Other former Steelers in attendance included former quarterback Charlie Batch, who threw passes to campers.

MATT WILLIAMSON NAMES STEELERS’ ALL-TIME TOP 10

As a former NFL scout, current Steelers Nation Radio analyst Matt Williamson has a good eye for the game.

He’s been around the league a long time, so when he talks about football and past history, you tend to listen. Recently, Williamson had the tough task of choosing his top 10 all-time Steelers during a segment on SNR.

There are some surprises, and some that are obvious. It creates great discussion.

ESPN’S EARLY 2027 NFL DRAFT RANKINGS

The 2026 season hasn’t even started yet, but it’s never too early to shift some focus to the 2027 NFL Draft, a draft that is believed to be loaded at quarterback.

ESPN’s Jordan Reid and Matt Miller are already in drat mode once again and recently dropped their early draft rankings.

There is a lot of high-level talent projected to be part of the 2027 draft class. That hopefully bodes well for the Steelers, who are in search of a franchise quarterback moving forward under new head coach Mike McCarthy.

The ESPN pairing had the likes of Texas’ Arch Manning, Miami (FL)’s Darian Mensah, Oregon’s Dante Moore, Oklahoma State’s Drew Mestemaker, and Notre Dame’s CJ Carr in the top 5 at quarterback.
