Aaron Portzline: Despite the rumors coming out of Russia, have been told that there is nothing happening on the Marchenko front.
Under the impression that the Blue Jackets haven’t taken calls on Marchenko since early summer. Things can always change later this summer.

Marco D’Amico: The RG report wasn’t , was just mentioned in it. Can confirm that Montreal Canadiens are very interested if thinks around Marchenko pick up.

Hockeyy Insiderr: Have been told that the Canadiens have been given permission to speak with Marchenko’s agent Dan Milstein about a potential contract extension in case a trade gets finalized. If discussions remain positive, a trade could happen today.

The Marchenko rumors as of Saturday
David Ettedgui: (Sports Management Hockey Agent) As of Saturday, there are three teams that are in the mix for Columbus Blue Jackets Kirill Marchenko, with the Montreal Canadiens and Utah Mammoth the two leading teams.
- David Ettedgui: Marchenko is a top-six winger that can score 25 to 30 goals and is 6 foot 3. He would pair nicely with Ivan Demidov, but the cost to acquire will determine if it’s worth it. We should know more in the coming days or weeks.
