Heidenreichs Host Dinner
Steelers.com’s Brian Batko highlighted an offseason dinner Eli Heidenreich’s family hosted for Pittsburgh’s rookie class, draft picks and undrafted free agents. A chance for the group to come together and players from all over the country to feel at home in their new city.
“I think I learned at Navy how important having a strong team is, and whatever way I could do that, I wanted to do it,” Eli Heidenreich said via Batko. “I figured that would be the best way. It’s only a 20-minute drive or so from the facility. My dad went out and bought an unbelievable amount of food.”
While Steelers veterans are doing plenty of mentoring, the rookies have a natural bond. Many got to know each other through the pre-draft process be it at All-Star events, pre-draft training, or the NFL Combine.
The group has the chance to get closer by spending the next few weeks together at Saint Vincent College. Pittsburgh is one of just a handful of teams that still travels to colleges for “destination” training camps.

Fan Gets Season Tickets
A big-time Pittsburgh Steelers fan now has season tickets. Partnering with Make-a-Wish Foundation, a Steelers fan named Jake was surprised with tickets following Friday’s practice. Most of the team stuck around afterward to share the news.
A special moment for everyone involved.
Deebo Samuel To 49ers
Around the NFL, the San Francisco 49ers reunited with WR Deebo Samuel. With Brandon Aiyuk never playing another down for the team, or probably anyone else, and oft-injured Ricky Pearsall out for the season due to a nagging PCL injury, the team brought back Samuel.
Samuel spent his first six years with San Francisco before being traded to the Washington Commanders in March 2025. Last yar, he caught 72 passes for over 700 yards with six total touchdowns (five receiving, one rushing).
